6 Steps to Halal Investing Confidence
Build a clear halal investment plan for retirement, your children, and goals.
What is Nisba?
Nisba is on a mission to make halal investing clear, structured and accessible. We have developed a 6-step framework that guides Muslims from financial foundations to confident halal investing.
Learn more about Nisba
Nisba was founded in late 2024 by Ahmad and Adel with a clear objective: to raise the standard of halal investing education for Muslims.
Between us, we have professional experience in financial markets and formal qualifications in finance and Islamic finance. We have worked inside the industry and understand how investing actually works behind the scenes. At the same time, we have studied the Islamic principles that should guide Muslim investors.
We saw a gap.
Many Muslims wanted to invest but were unsure what was genuinely halal. Others were exposed to hype, speculation or incomplete information. There was content available online, but very little structured education that combined financial competence with Islamic clarity.
We believed Muslims deserved better guidance.
So we built Nisba around a structured 6 step framework. It takes people from financial foundations, such as emergency funds and risk, through to building and managing a confident halal investment strategy.
Today, Nisba delivers education through social media, live events, workshops and structured programmes. Everything we produce is designed to simplify complexity, remove confusion and help Muslims make informed, principled financial decisions.
Our mission remains the same.
To make halal investing clear, structured and accessible for every Muslim household.

The framework in detail
Inside the Nisba Framework
The Nisba Framework is a structured 6 step educational path designed to help you understand halal investing with clarity and confidence. It is focused on education, not personal financial advice.
1. Goals and Risk
We begin by helping you think through what you are investing for, whether that is retirement, children or long term security. We explore time horizons and how volatility can affect investments, so you can better understand what level of risk may feel appropriate for your circumstances.
2. Halal Investments
We explain how common Shariah compliant investment options work, including shares, funds and other asset classes. This includes how screening works, how returns are generated and the key principles that underpin halal investing.
3. Asset Allocation
We explore how money can potentially be spread across different asset classes and why asset allocation plays an important role in long term outcomes. The aim is to build understanding around balance and diversification rather than speculation.
4. Account Types
We provide educational guidance on ISAs, pensions and other account types available in the UK. This helps you understand how different wrappers function and how they may be used as part of a broader financial plan.
5. Implementation
We outline the practical steps involved in setting up investment accounts and building a portfolio. This is about understanding the process so you can make informed decisions independently.
6. Refine and Adjust
Finally, we cover concepts such as reviewing investments, rebalancing, zakat and purification, and making adjustments over time. Investing is an ongoing process, and understanding how it works is key to staying disciplined.
The framework is designed to educate, simplify complexity and give you the confidence to make informed decisions aligned with your values.
